About Murray Humphries Mcgill at McGill University (McGill)

Professor Murray Humphries is a Professor of Wildlife Biology at McGill University and Associate Director of the Centre for Indigenous Peoples’ Nutrition and Environment (CINE). His research focuses on the role of wildlife and environmental change in Indigenous traditional food systems, particularly in northern regions of Canada. Working in close partnership with Indigenous communities, governments, and local harvesters, his work integrates community-based participatory research, traditional ecological knowledge, and ecological field studies to address questions of biodiversity, sustainability, and food security in changing northern climates. Their research directions are illustrated by key works including "Constraints to projecting the effects of climate change on mammals".
