Gordon H. Williams

Gordon H. Williams is a Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and a senior physician at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard University. He earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed his residency and fellowship training in endocrinology and hypertension at the same institution. His research program has fundamentally advanced the understanding of hormonal regulation in hypertension, with a sustained focus on the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system. A core theme of his work is elucidating the mechanisms of salt-sensitive blood pressure, investigating how sodium intake interacts with genetic and hormonal factors to influence cardiovascular health.
