About Wen Hua at Hong Kong Polytechnic University

Wen Hua is an Associate Professor under the Presidential Young Scholar Scheme and Assistant Dean (Graduate Studies) in the Department of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She received her Bachelor’s and PhD degrees in Computer Science from Renmin University of China. Prior to joining PolyU, she was a tenured Senior Lecturer and an ARC DECRA Senior Research Fellow at The University of Queensland. Her research focuses on data management and analytics, including information extraction and retrieval, data mining, natural language processing, spatiotemporal data analysis, and high-performance query processing. She has published extensively in leading database, data mining, and AI venues and has received multiple best paper awards.
