The professor does not teach merely as a job, but out of genuine passion for education. He selflessly shares all of his knowledge with students and is highly responsible and dedicated. Truly a top-tier, outstanding professor at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Professor Raymond Wong is one of the most dedicated and conscientious instructors I encountered during my time at PolyU. He never carries a sense of hierarchy or distance and treats all students with the same level of respect and enthusiasm, always taking the time to answer questions carefully. While many instructors understandably manage their time very strictly, Professor Wong consistently made himself available to students, often meeting with us in the library on a daily basis. He patiently went through our coursework multiple times, providing detailed feedback and suggestions for improvement. It was common to see him spending long hours working directly with students, and his commitment during this period was truly exceptional. My personal impression is that teaching quality at PolyU can vary significantly across courses and instructors. In that context, Professor Raymond Wong stands out as someone who genuinely represents the highest standard of teaching: taking responsibility for students’ learning, sharing his knowledge openly, and prioritizing students’ growth over formal titles or credentials. From a student’s perspective, this level of dedication and care is what truly defines an outstanding educator, and Professor Wong fully exemplifies that standard.
